Frame-to-finish Carpenter

IHD Design Build seeks a driven frame-to-finish precision carpenter to join our construction team.

Required Experience:

• 5-10 years construction carpentry experience to include concrete, framing, envelope, and trim install
• Experience with high-end remodel and new build projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of buildings or other structures
• Must be able to keep accurate records, perform timekeeping

Experience with site project management also considered.

Candidates are required to have own transportation and basic hand tools.

LEARNING CARPENTER

IHD Design Build seeks a full-time Learning Carpenter/Labourer to support our team on residential and commercial projects.

Duties to Include:

• General carpentry with the opportunity to learn and improve carpentry skills & knowledge
• General labourer duties including cleaning job sites, hauling materials and assisting site superintendents/carpenters as directed
• Driving IHD truck for project errands, trash hauling, and other needs
• Tracking paperwork for project site deliveries

Required:

• Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Commitment to a career in quality High Performance building
• General construction knowledge with a strong desire to learn
• Highly organized
• Able to efficiently plan errands and daily tasks
• Positive attitude
• Take direction well
• Ability to work independently at times
• Adaptable to different work environments
• Ability to work with a varied workload and under the direction of multiple site superintendents.
• General carpentry tools (Tool belt, hammer, measuring tape, knife.)
